BOOX Palma screen size

The BOOX Palma screen is 824 × 1648 pixels in portrait orientation (width × height). A sleep screen image at exactly that size is shown pixel for pixel, with no stretching, blurry scaling or black bars.

Set it in BOOX settings

BOOX tablets run Android with BOOX’s own launcher, and they support custom screensaver images out of the box. On recent firmware the option is under Settings → Desktop & Screen saver → Screen saver; older firmware names and places it differently. You can pick separate images for standby and for power-off.

Can the KOReader plugin change the BOOX sleep screen?

No. KOReader runs on BOOX as an Android app, and on Android the system, not KOReader, draws the sleep screen. The InkMorning plugin can still download and update images on the tablet for you, but you set the screensaver in BOOX settings.
