The PocketBook Era screen is 1264 × 1680 pixels in portrait orientation (width × height). A sleep screen image at exactly that size is shown pixel for pixel, with no stretching, blurry scaling or black bars.
Tips for e-ink: use grayscale PNG, keep strong contrast, and avoid fine gradients, which can show visible banding on 16-level gray screens. Every InkMorning download is already rendered this way for the pocketbook-era preset.
Download at the right size
Download any wallpaper with the PocketBook Era preset selected and copy it to the device over USB. PocketBook firmware has personalization options for what is shown when the device sleeps or powers off; what’s available, and whether custom images are supported, varies by model and firmware version, so check the user guide for your device.
What about KOReader?
KOReader runs on PocketBook, but there it can’t replace the system sleep screen. The InkMorning plugin works in download mode: it saves and updates images on the device, and you pick them in the PocketBook settings.
